Phillips Flat Head Machine Screws are screws with a machine thread for a tapped hole or to accept a nut.  Flat head machine screws have countersunk head to be able to sit flush with in a 82 degree tapered hole.  Made of 18-8 Stainless Steel (18% Chromium, 8 % Nickel).  For use in marine corrosive environments. To measure the length of a flat head screw measure from the flat part of the head to the bottom of the threads.
